Cationic Starch

Cationic starch is a chemically modified starch carrying positive charges, widely used in the paper industry as a dry and wet strength enhancer, retention aid, and drainage improver. Added at the wet end, it binds with negatively charged fibers and fillers, improving filler retention, sheet formation, and internal bonding. It also enhances paper strength, printability, and surface quality, making it suitable for writing, printing, packaging, and specialty papers. Cationic starch is cost-effective, biodegradable, and compatible with most paper additives.
